My art
I mainly work with natural, soothing pastel colors on natural raw cotton fabric using the glazing technique. In addition to pastel works that radiate lightness, I also enjoy creating works that consist of exciting details and layers.
“I love working with different media on raw canvas.”
My art fits perfectly into an interior that emphasizes the beauty of natural materials and traditional craftsmanship. My works radiate lightness, well-being, and serenity and are intended to appeal above all to people who consider slow living, sustainability, mindfulness, and minimalism to be valuable values in their lives.
It's time to inspire
“Pick up the brush, follow the colors of my feelings, come alive”
(Marion Theresa)
This sentence describes my work quite well. My works arise from an inner impulse and are guided especially by emotions and feelings.
As a trained happiness teacher, I have been exploring the concept of “happiness” for a long time. Happiness has a lot to do with personal development.
My development towards more ease and mindfulness in life, “slow living,” not only plays a major role in my life, but is also becoming increasingly visible in my art. At the end of 2024, I came to the beautiful island of Mallorca to work here and, above all, to lead a mindful and conscious life. Through my creative work and the change in my lifestyle, I have finally found my inner happiness and self-efficacy. Every picture contains joie de vivre and well-being, because these have always been important goals for me.
I want my paintings to give you the same joy and well-being, because ultimately, you choose paintings for your home that you connect with, that trigger a certain feeling, or simply make your own four walls more comfortable. This also has something to do with well-being. After all, you want to feel comfortable at home.
“The world is full of small joys. The art is in seeing them.”
In our hectic times, it is even more important to take breaks, feel the moment and perceive yourself. With my paintings I would like to help you slow down your everyday life and become more aware of the small, beautiful things in life.
Focus on the little moments of happiness. Take a look at my paintings, maybe you will discover a moment of happiness in one of my paintings and would like to capture it?
My story
I am a passionate artist and rediscovered art on a trip to Italy in 2021. Even as a teacher, I came into contact with art a lot, but only passively. The picturesque streets of Malcesine on Lake Garda with their many galleries made my heart beat faster. After my return trip, I couldn't help but buy canvases and brushes and get active myself. In 2022 I tried a lot of different techniques and it took me a while to find my style. At least I was clear about what style I wanted to pursue. I got stuck on raw canvases. For me, these natural materials, whether cotton or linen, have a special appeal. I love furnishings that radiate naturalness and minimalism. This also includes materials from nature. The colors are particularly effective on a raw fabric. I prefer to paint with pastel colors and light brush strokes to give my paintings a certain lightness. Lightness is also a big keyword in my life.
During my burnout and depression, I decided to give up my job as a primary school teacher and leave my civil servant status behind. I made this decision during my sabbatical year, when I traveled extensively through Europe in a van and discovered a different way of life that showed me that life has so much more to offer.
It was not only a search for new adventures, but also for meaning and fulfillment—a journey to myself.
“Art helped me through my difficult time and gave me back my self-confidence.”
At the end of January 2023, I started my Instagram page and am very happy that I took this step. My paintings have already found a place in many parts of Europe, and it makes me happy every time to see that my art touches people, brings joy to others, and that my message behind the paintings resonates with you.
By leaving my civil service job and starting my own business in the summer of 2024, I gave up a bit of security, but I moved closer to freedom and meaning. And somehow, that feels right.
Since October 2024, I have been living in the countryside of Mallorca and now want to make my art visible on the island, because “art touches you more when you see it live.”
